It’s time for another installment of my bi-weekly email series. In each issue, I share three resources that I have found to be helpful for myself and/or my clients. As a former librarian and a current voracious gatherer of helpful information, I’m constantly listening to podcasts, reading books and articles, and watching various videos that spark my interest.
Jeffrey Epstein and Alex Acosta’s names are on many Americans tongues right now. Miami Herald Investigative Reporter Julie K. Brown originally broke the first story about Epstein’s sex trafficking business and arrest, and Justice Acosta’s collusion in not appropriately punishing Epstein for his crimes. Learn how every step of the way Epstein powered his way through to evade the law. The story has since progressed and Epstein has been arrested once more with even more damaging current evidence against him and others. Will his tactics work yet again? Find out the important background on the latest iteration of this story.
Wolfpack, by Abby Wambach, the incredible soccer player and co-captain of the 2015 Women’s World Cup Champion Team, is a short and easy read that has so much to recommend it. It is an inspiring call to leadership and action, and a roadmap for achieving both. Based upon Abby Wambach’s viral commencement speech to Barnard College’s graduates in 2018, it invites women to see our individual and collective (Wolfpack) power in order to create victory on the field of life. Her rules to live by are simple and yet profound. Having already applied some of them myself, I know that they work!

And should your parachute ever fail to function while you’re rapidly descending from an airplane (planned or not!), it provides helpful information on how survive a fall that is most likely not survivable. It just goes to show that surviving a near death experience is helpful in more ways than you can imagine while you’re thinking that you’re absolutely going to die in the next few moments!
