It’s time for another installment of my bi-weekly email series. In each issue, I share three resources that I have found to be helpful for myself and/or my clients. As a former librarian and a current voracious gatherer of helpful information, I’m constantly listening to podcasts, reading books and articles, and watching various videos that spark my interest.

Listening:

These two stories (Bearing Witness and A Moment of Silence) together represent the continuum from the depth man’s inhumanity to man to the height of honoring a dead colleague and doing what was previously considered to be impossible. If you open your heart, both stories can evoke tears. I listened to these stories last week and they have yet to leave me. Moth stories are told without notes and are all true.

Life Magazine cover from 1955Reading:

I was looking for an article that I vaguely remembered reading the 1950’s when I came across the Life Magazine archives that are stored on Google. I loved reading Life magazine from the time that I was a kid until the magazine ceased publication when I was an adult. Every issue is accessible online. Look at incredible photography, see how much the mores and lifestyles changed in the last century, and if you’re old enough, remember key events of your earlier life.

Watching:

You are contagious! And so am I! This isn’t necessarily bad news. Learn how you can positively “infect” others. This is helpful information no matter whether you want to give a viral TED talk or change the emotional climate around you. I’ve studied a lot of psychology over the years and even I found some new information in this video.

Thanks for taking the time to read this newsletter. If any of these resources elicited any thoughts or feelings that you’d like to share with me, please contact me. If you like these emails, feel free to share them with other coaches, friends, clients and people walking the transformational path.

See you again in two weeks,
Judy
